The company's usual hours of business are

DRIVING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In addition to the General Terms and Conditions the following will apply to driver training:
Driving lessons

Driving lessons may be taken as a single (1 hour), extended (1 1/2 hours) or double-lesson (2 hours) by prior agreement with the trainer however a double-lesson should be considered to be the norm.

The frequency of the lessons depends on the individual needs of the trainee but the company would recommend

•    a minimum of a double lesson per week
•    a maximum of three double lessons per day (with suitable breaks in-between)

Training will be client-centered and tailored to meet the needs of the trainee so intensive courses can be designed and provided if required.

The company will provide a fully insured and suitably equipped vehicle, e.g. fitted with dual controls, and a qualified instructor, i.e. one that meets the requirements of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
Driving Tests

The company may provide a fully insured and suitable equipped vehicle for the trainee to use on their test if, and only if, the company is satisfied that they are ready for the test. This will usually be determined by the trainee passing a mock test.

When it is agreed that the trainee is ready for their test, a sesson will need to be booked to cover the test period. The duration of this will be determined by the trainer based on the various factors, including, for example, the length of time the car and the trainer will be needed, etc. This will be a minimum of two hours charged at the standard rate.

Before booking their driving test with the Driving Test Centre, the trainee is responsible for confirming that the trainer and vehicle are available at the proposed time/date/location.
Vehicle Damage

If damage is caused to the vehicle during a driving lesson or test that is (in the opinion of the company) a direct result of an action or inaction of the trainee, in circumstances that they had been trained to avoid, then they will be deemed culperable. In such a case, they may be expected to reimburse the company of any financial losses incurred.

For example, the trainee is fully trained and taking their test when they reverse into a bollard causing damage to the vehicle. The trainee may be expected to pay for the damage or pay the insurance excess plus any increase in premiums that result.
Unsocial Hours Supplement

When the lesson, or any part of the lesson, falls outside the company’s usual Hours of Business then it will be classed as ‘unsocial hours’ and an additional supplement may apply for each lesson:

            Day                           Time          Rate
Monday to Friday      5 pm to 8 pm    20%
Saturday & Sunday    8 am to 5 pm    30%
Saturday & Sunday    5 pm to 8 pm    40%
Bank Holiday              8 am to 5 pm    50%
Bank Holiday              5 pm to 8 pm    60%

For example, an individual lesson (Bronze package) on a Monday evening would be

Single (1 hr):                 £46.50 + 20% = £56
Extended (1 1/2 hrs):   £69.75 + 20% = £84
Double (2 hrs):              £90 + 20% = £112
Bronze Package - the standard rate

This is the basic 'Pay As You Learn' option where each lesson is booked individually.

The lessons can be either Single, Extended or Double:

A single lesson lasts one hour and costs £46.50 (plus any Unsocial Hours Supplement).

An extended lesson is one and a half hours long and costs £70 (plus any Unsocial Hours Supplement).
